Is Giving Motivated by the Mission?

NEW ITEC donation activity analysis suggests other factors play a role.

Giving is motivated by the mission. Or is it? Our most recent nonprofit research shows that personal relationships are possibly a greater motivator, and when leveraged with the mission and marketed a certain way, donation levels dramatically increase -- in fact, in our study more than 235%!

Our new study, titled ITEC Analysis: How Fundraiser-directed Communications Impact Donor Activity, examines a key component of Turnkey’s incentive program’s communication strategy: the Income Triggered Email Campaign (ITEC). More specifically, this paper examines how fundraiser behavior and donor activity are affected when recognition gift ITEC messages are sent.

I’ll officially share this information and talk about this effect at the 2011 Blackbaud Nonprofit Conference in October. Interested? Be one of the first to download Turnkey’s new donation research now. Then I hope to see you at the conference in D.C.!

All the best,

Katrina VanHuss
